Teotepec

Teotepec means “Cerro de Dios” or Hill of God, and it is an area surrounded by dense forests and ravines with a high concentration of biological diversity along the Pacific slope. Around 60 small-scale producers, with an average farm size of 2 hectares, solely process natural coffees and grow varieties such as Typica, Caturra, Costa Rica 95, and Marsellesa.

Additionally, as farms are remote, Caravela covers the transportation cost and comes directly to the farm to pick up approved lots, eliminating barriers to entering the specialty coffee market and guaranteeing that producers sell coffee at higher prices.
