Women producers from various small farms in Jaltenango, Chiapas make up the Triunfo Verde Cooperative, responsible for this wonderful, organic coffee.
All of the coffee produced by the Triunfo Verde co-op is grown in what is known as the El Triunfo Biosphere in the highlands of the Sierra Madre de Chiapas. The reserve is one of the world’s most diverse and is a refuge for thousands of plant and animal species.
Shade-grown and washed, this coffee is roasted light to facilitate its delicate flavors. We’re getting notes of cajeta, pecan, and citrus.
